This last one is of the assembled fowler. I'm sorry that the lighting in my shop isn't the best and that I'm not an accomplished photographer. That being said, what you see, fellers, is what you get. Like I said, I'm not yet totally satisfied with the gun as is, so when it meets my approval, I'll stamp my cartouche on the lock tail....and yes, Jim, I'll get some photos chopped up of the proofing. Comments, anyone? Cheers, Bookie

Pretty good for a young lad. Too bad you didn't have one of them carpet store yard sticks layin' aside for perspective. Good Job brother.

Dang, Bookie! That is sharp! I have heard, though, that most of the work was done by the b'ar dogs after you fell asleep on the couch. At least that's what THEY said!

Now WAIT jus a minute ther boys We must band together here and demand some more. We need time delaid fotos of this fine specimen fired off at dusk and a quik vidio of Sgt. Book with his bar dauwgs out in the timber huntin'. If ther ain't no critters hidin ner by, Ol Hooter Al can run out ahead with a ball of baler twine tied off bout 6-8 feet to his back belt loop. Now, no wuries, them dawgs are in good shape, Book needs a little practice before first snow for rabits and Al needs sum xersize. Don, Dan and I will monitor n kip score frum the next ridge ovr yonder.

For those of you wondering, only shots within the ball of twine will count as a hit. No pets will be injured during filming. Seriously, that is a superb cute little shotgun. My hat off to you. Good job Steve.

Very well done Bookie. The pictures are appreciated by my tribe very much. Now the braves will be armed and the squaws will gain weight.

Now that's funny. Reminds me of an actual incident where a friend of my Dad's convinced his girlfriend to run rabbits for him. Things worked out well for the first few hunts, but she got too close to one particular rabbit and caught a few shotgun pellets in the leg. She decided that running rabbits, for an often loaded hunter, wielding a loaded gun, wasn't all that good of an idea. Dang Bookie, that turned out real nice. Real nice. I like the dark finish too. Slicker than snot on a swamp, it is. God bless

Walking Crow, don't let that bag of chaw fool ya. Steve buys the jumbo packs to share with the boy. He's only 2 but can put pack it in like a squirrel in a hickory grove. I'd be surprised if that fowler weighs more than 2 1/2 lbs. It is soooo skinny and light weight, kinda like some of them New York City runway models. But it sure does feel good in your hands and puts a big ol' grin on your face.
