aquired me another .32 recently(cant have too many you know)finaly got to take it out yesterday afternoon for a couple hours, she seems to be a good shooter.brought home four fat fox squirrels and seen many more, there seems to be plenty of them this year.on these cloudy overcast days we have been having here they seem to stay active all day long and are suckers for the disstress whistle.seen a nice eight point and a spike milling around down in the bottoms, and lots of turkey also.man i love being in the woods this time of the year.

Wow Dave, that's a fine looking piece you have there. I really like that wood, and I'm with you, I really enjoy this time of year - it just clicks. Something about being out, feeling the breeze in your face and enjoying the smells of Autumn. Melding in with all that is around you and and becoming suddenly aware that this is where you belong. I do my best to get out there every chance I get.
Hope you get many fine times out with that piece. Keep looking up! (He's coming back) |

Judging from all those head shots, TurtleDave, I'd say you're quite a marksman. I'd like to be able to shoot as well as that.

Congrats on a great hunt. I have some friends around me that I go on the "great 18th century squirrel hunt" with. We dress as settlers on the SC frontier in 1770 and hunt with flint rifles or fowlers. About mid-day we meet up and cook lunch and coffee over a small fire. It is great fun. There is shooting game, then there is walking back in time. Im glad to see you are one of us.
