Yes the water avacados are ripe. My neighbor's house was being bombarded by them and the two skylights on his flat roof took direct hits and were shattered. He complained so today I was over there on his roof with a ladder and was trimming the branches that were over his house and over the street and sidewalk.
Here is a pic of Ms. Audrey's hands holding these giant AV's. The wheelbarrow already had some removed. And we had given some away before on the street. Almost all these were given to passing Mex's because you just can't eat that many. We have been picking them up out of the yard for two months now. There are probably about two dozen hanging in what's left of the tree. Also I have included a pic of the covered over skylight that got bombed.

enjoy.

Jumbo shrimp-n-'shrooms, giant avacadoes, where in Mexico are you? I have a couple of days off coming up and I like to eat! (makes you wonder why so many want to come up here.)

Yeah, it's even better if you forget the bean sprouts and add a fresh tomatoe right out of the garden. Ummm ummm...

Keep looking up! (He's coming back)

Ms. Diana,
I am just back, as of 3:30 this morning from El Paso. I saw the sign at the crossing into the USA. It said: avoid the fine, declare. It specifically had a pic of an avacado with a red X through it.
Sooooo...sorry, can't bring you one, I'll get into trouble with the Feds.
Of course, as Para says: If you all pack up and come down, we can make some guacamole. The tree, what's left of it has at least two dozen fruits on it yet. Snicker....

Ohhhhh,
Bacon Avocado and Sprouts. Bacon Avocado tomatoes and sprouts (no mayo). Lots of salt. My favorite sandwiches. Aother of my favorites is salad dressing, turkey and whole berry cranberry sauce sandwiches on white bread.
Our avacado crops is pretty poor up here.

I bought some "grapeshot" avocados for a couple bucks each here awhile back. Grapeshot is the pet name I give to the avocados, nectarines, pears and peaches that are so hard one can use them as grapeshot from a CW era cannon. Grapeshot (technically) was two-inch diameter round iron balls...not to be confused with canister shot. Canister shot is all the stuff you can cram in a can (or whatever) to be blown out the front of the cannon--knives forks and spoons (like in Pirates of the Caribbean), or whatever.

Guac? Para and I can carpool down. He has a good working knowledge of Korean so we should have not problem crossing the border. My German ain't too shabby either...

Speaking of Guacomole, I have to start a piece in tall tales.
