Beyond dark, silence so quiet it roars in your ears, everything damp n soft underfoot so no sound of your walking about. Fog thick enough to cut blocks from to build a wall, really easy to understand how superstitions got started. Today techno gizmos keep us all in contact, the world has become small to us. Two or three hundred years ago most folks were born, lived n died within ten or fifteen miles of home, news and science where just beginning. It's not hard tonight to understand How an unknown sound or passing shadow could be seen and a story begun about the boogy man. Heavy n clostrophobic outside tonight, easy to understand the possible beginnings of superstitions we chuckle at today.

Beautifully written, Birdman. You are a poet and make the reader feel, see and hear what you write about. Very nicely done! Sua Sponte
