shsssh. Don't everyone post at once. (:~)

Howdy Ya'll. Me 'n the missus have been down among the alligators and manatees for much of June. Had a good time kayaking among some o' them critters. Kayaked right up to within a few feet of a 6 foot gator, but stayed well away from a monster that was 12 feet or maybe more!
We circled the state visiting old friends who have retired down there. A good time.
Sure was awful hot and humid, though. I don't recommend going to Florida during the summer. The next time I go it will be in the winter.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July

Sounds a good time was had by all. I don't blame you for keeping clear of that big gator.

Great that ya' had fun and got back safe and sound. Hot & humid? Yeah, well, I was born in and lived in Ga for 62 years and thought nothing of 90 to 100+ degree weather; but times have changed. Extremes are now noticeable both up and down. Hope you took plenty of photos!

Oh yeah, we took plenty of photos.
Hanshi, I like Georgia, especially the mountains in the northern part of the state. However, there are miles and miles of flat piney woods further down, and of course the "sea isles" along the coast. Georgia has a lot to offer an outdoorsman. Just don't get within 50 miles of Atlanta!
But, I think taxes are better here in Tennessee.

You said it all, Rancocas. Atlanta is a cancer tumor, IMO. I've, of course, been all over the state and love it all; but some areas are better than others. I loved the 12 deer season limit and abundant small game.
