a bit about my son, his broken arm, and boys will be boys, but wow how about the kid near Denver in the Hot Air balloon.
BTW the first ascending hot air balloon was an unmanned test in Paris on June 4, 1783, and passengers went aloft in a bigger version on Sept 19, 1783.
The balloon today is helium, while those in the 18th century were hot-air. They are talking about waiting for it to come down on its own, but ..., I hope the kid doesn't freeze to death in the meantime, and misses power lines when it lands, as it is going 25 mph right now.

Turns out to be a big mistake. The kid was never in the balloon. His dad had yelled at him for playing around the balloon earlier, and he was sulking in a cardboard box in the attic the whole time. I wouldn't want to be the one to explain this to the authorities.

It could have had a much worse outcome. For example, he WAS in the balloon when it started out but not when it came back down. Best regards. Rockerhound

Actually the authorities reported they searched the house..., guess they forgot the garage. This is SOP where I work and a kid goes missing. I myself have found two inside their homes when mom and dad swore they had already checked.

One of the news broadcasts I saw made out like he was in the attic above the garage in the box. If I'd have done something like that, it would have probably been better for me to have taken the ride.
