well, since no one else has answered: Mark left the staff of MLer Mag a while ago and John Curry sorta took his place and column. I do not know the reason he left--I assume to do other things. Perhaps the staff here can answer better. Mark is supposedly currently working on another DVD and updating his out of print book Sons of the Trackless Forest [which if you have not read you should].

So John is no longer with Muzzleblast?
Well I guess the only other reason to get muzzleblast is the Bevel Brothers.
Lord knows it's not for Al Richards horribly opionated articles on how inlines rule the woods and traditional hunting regs are antiquidated.

I'll miss Mark but John's a good read as well.

Don't know about Mark... For what it's worth, I get Muzzle Blasts because I support the NMLRA. I get Muzzleloader because it's a good magazine!

I dropped them back in the 1980's when my family budget got squeased. The magazine was never that good so I just never needed to re-up.

They're closer to New York City than the Rocky Mountains, arn't they?

I got real tired of going to FORMAL shoots and being informed that they required NMLRA rules. I didn't have the 2" thick book so never bothered to look up all them rules. I attend rendezvous instead. I have more fun too.

Please don't bother to try to enlighten me about all the wonderfull stuff they do for me. I still won't re-up. The budget and a kid in college including flight school, you know.

Load fast and aim slow.

Draggin' up an old thread,if ya get a chance, pick up old copy's of muzzle blast, late eighty's and before, really good stuff in them. Compare those issue's to today's and you'll see why the magazine now is rather dull. I have them back into the '60's and they are what muzzleloading is all about! God, we were young and good looking, then life happened and we aged, exept Miz Gabby,She'll ALWAYS be a FOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
