Hello the 'Fire!

I have decided that it is necessary to institute manual approval of all new memberships. In the last couple of months, we have been targeted by spammers who have been able to get around the security features of this board. As of now, the software that we use to run the Campfire doesn't offer the "captcha" feature, so this seems like the best option to try to prevent future trash posts.

I apologize in advance for the extra time and annoyance this will mean to those wanting to join the Campfire. I will try to respond as quickly as possible, but inevitably there will be times when I don't check the pending approvals often enough. We'll see how it goes and if this doesn't work out, I'll figure out another way to block spammers.

Thank you for this. Sorry for the extra work it will make, very glad to hear we will be able to keep the spamers at bay. They are annoying for sure.
