Hello the 'Fire! Sadly I need to remind everyone that no flaming is allowed around our Campfire. What is "flaming"? That's slang for personal attacks. Remember that many beginners like to just lurk and read and learn, and I know we all want to be welcoming to them. Folks here are friendly and trying to be helpful, so try to keep an open mind to all questions, suggestions and responses. Thanks. -Linda

This has to be one of the best overall sites I have joined, friendly doesn't begin to describe it. Thank you

Dave

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walks." "NO FLAMING", shall be inscribed on all obelisks, temples and public buildings, so let it be done.

My personal observation is that this is the most genteel group I have ever palavered with.

I have to agree with Chuckles. Just a wee bit of listing. An early correction will keep us on course. A word to the wise is sufficient.

Well said, Sparks. A mark of good leadership is to ready the vessel before the storm actually hits.

Si, MS. Linda,
Do you know that your name means 'pretty' en espanol? How's that for buttering up, hee, hee?

I admit to giving Fiddlesticks and oldfart a mighty hard time at times. If they did not return it in kind I would think they don't love me anymore.

If anyone interpreted this as flaming, I do most humbly apologize.

I want to also say that this is the greatest website I have ever been on. The friendly banter makes it even better.

I am so happy that this sight is available anywhere in the civilized world, because it is a touch of the world I left to come here.

Good job, Linda!

RB, probably not. Most of our heads are already messed up and she's aware of it. I'm sure she wouldn't say it if she didn't mean it. All said, I like this forum as well because of the same reasons every one else does.... it's where the old guys meet!!!! ha ha ha

Gosh! Now I feel bad about saying Bookie looked like a "Buddha in bib overalls". That was meant as a description of his temperment, not physique! I'm just glad I didn't say anything bad about his vicious attack dogs!
