Deercop's Small Game Pouch by Deercop (created on )Gallery | Comments
I'd been kicking around the idea of a smaller pouch for my .32 rifle. A porcupine ruined a pair of chinks, so I had some leather to "recycle".
One night of paper patterns and cutting, and another of sewing produced a 7"x7" double pouch.
I'm trying something new...gamehangers. I sewed 3 onto each of the strap buckles. I left them long enough to put a loop over the head of a squirrel or rabbit without leaving a thong long enough to allow them to swing excessively. Being on the sides like that should allow access to the pouch itself, and if it doesn't work they are easily removed.
The little flat powderhorn holds enough powder for approximately 25 shots with 30gr. charges.

Now if I can just get my 19 year old son to quit calling it a "mountainman purse".....
