Here are directions to the shoot for anyone coming from outside the local area.

The shoot is very easy to find. Come on I-5 to Exit 88. Head east at the top of the off ramp. Follow that road all the way into Tenino. When you arrive in beautiful downtown Tenino, take a right on Olympia Street and head south. Olympia Street ends at the ball fields at Tenino City Park. The registration tent will be right there by the back stop at the ball field closest to the end of Olympia Street. You might have to find a place to park a block or two away.

Make sure you get there in plenty of time to register and attend the shooter's meeting at 8:45, because we will begin the shoot at 9:00 sharp. There is camping available at Tenino City Park for $10 for the weekend if you are interested. And don't forget the potluck and pig roast on Saturday evening.

The forecast is for pretty hot weather this weekend so dress accordingly.

Hey Rich, Go to www.wamuzzleloaders.org/ and put that in your "favorite places" so you can call on it with regularity. That's the website for the Washington State Muzzleloaders Assoc. and while their calendar of events for 2010 isn't up yet, you'll find it listed fairly soon. Now, just let me guess that the next doin's at Tenino will be on July 24 & 25, 2010. That isn't too far away to start planning, so make those plans and we'll see you there. Shoot sharp's the word, Mike

Rich, I can't add much to what Tin-Type and Mike have said but to add that the Tenino shoot is a heck of a lot of fun. If you camp out in the city park, you can spend your evening hours listening to Mike prevaricate, pontificate and officiate on the ins and outs of muzzleloading. And get some of that fine roast pig to boot. Hope to see you there.
