Does anyone on this board have any input on these knives.
I'm thinking of branching out in my knife buying habits.

They look pretty good. I like the idea that no two are alike. Shoot sharp, Mike

don't be a dog in the manger! It's not nice to talk about neat things and not post the website.

I have come down with the dreaded flu like symtoms and feel less than well Frowner.
So I will give you my impressions of the knife when I'm feeling better.

Trail, get thee to the doctor. Toot sweet!! With your lungs you can't take chances! Since you can't enjoy that knife right now, send it to me and I will love it and pet it and call it George!(oops! too many Bugs Bunny cartoons!) Kick back, take it easy, have a nip or two from that little jug you used to carry and get well soon!

Well after a haversack full of pills and potions not to mention an enforced stay indoors I'm feeling a lot better. Almost ready for a two block treck. (down hill of course)
Anyway on to the knife.
It is a hefty piece of steel and one would think unwieldly. No!!
The full thickness of the tang going into the ball end serves almost as a counterwieght to the blade. It puts the point of balance right where the choil meets the handle. Exactly the spot your forefinger rests.
The upswept look of the blade is decieveing. The point is inline with the spine in the haft. The deep roach and a subtle "dishing" of the back of the blade "make" it look like a cutlass
but in reality a very user friendly blade. It screams out "Use me" I just got to find something to use it on. The next Whitetail springs to mind. The file work is crisp and sharp looking. A nice touch are the two groves cut into the spine to use as a thumb rest if needed.By taking a pinch grip up the blade it will be a handy skinner for that hard to get at spots.
I took it out of the box and thought the picture on the NR web site does not do this blade justice.
Man I feel in love with it as soon as I got my sweaty little paws on it.
If I could figure out how to post a pic I would.
Many thanks for the get well thoughts.
Pottsie you know the jug is always close to hand.
