I have been looking on line all night to find a good diagrahm on how to tie a squaw hitch for snowshoe bindings. Or just a squaw hitch for packing! The diagrams aren't that great. The Book of Buckskinning VII has a diagrahm in it, but you cant really figure the knot out. At least I can't. Anybody know where I can see a good drawing of how to tie this thing? Thanks in advance....

sawbones!! Went over the GOOGLE typed in Squaw hitch knot. There is was first site, shows a picture and a write up on how to tie the knot.Looked more like a packing hitch on the site I got. Might go to WWW.SURVIVALWORLD.COM shows alot of knots and other real good information but refers to the knot in question as a packers knot. What other name might it go by?

This is a pretty good site for what you are after. I use 2" wide x 6 foot long pillow ticking for my binding.
