smoke,I was also looking for a rapine bag mold and could not find one. I ended up buying a mold from Smiling Fox Forge and have no complaints.

I was just on Track of The Wolf's website and saw bag molds listed as available in a good selection of diameters. $39.

I've got one of Dixie's old Eye-talian brass bag molds in .490" If memory serves I got it for about $12.50 ten or twelve years ago. I wish I'd bought a carload of 'em. The thing casts a ball that is nearly perfectly round, as good as a swaged ball at least. It is not a production mold, however, and does require some patience.

Spam,
You won't be let down by that mold from Smiling Fox. I have one myself in .600 and I've been very happy with it.

Yes they are correct but you MUST check them. I have one that is not a sphere as the cutting head when the mold was made did not go deep enough, so it molds "lozenges" not round ball, and another where the cutting head must've slipped and the two sides of the sphere don't match. Both are unuseable as anything but display pieces.
