A take off idea from the wheellock is a wheel flint invented bt Thomas Kyper in 1982. He is 85 years old now but his grandson has all the left over parts and can make them for you...people claim faster ignition, tighter groups, a chronolically more primitive ignition as wheel revolving against a flint pre dates the flintlock by 100 years...last but not least you have better safety a this invention doesn't fragment or scrape steel off the frizzen...email hyperkyper@aol.com good luck to all of you looking for stones, been there done that
