Not a shooter yet! Needs some work first. Clicks at half and full cock but won't hold. If nothing else I'll get it where it'll shoot blanks for Reenacting.
Those are a neat musket. Met a fella from Montana who has one. It came across the plains after The War of the Rebellion, some time in the late 1860's-1870's.
The 1831 date could be a issue date...and still in flintlock form then. Many were sent to the states at the start of the war,after being converted during the rush of European powers trying to sell the USA and CSA anything that would go "Boom".
