Had this one made to specs.
dbl canvas, brain tanned deer skin bottom, bone buttons, leather strap, brass buckle, hunters star...waxed..water and blood proof. Use this for all my hunting, deer, duck squirrel, grouse..Patterned after a British Tore's haversack contract in the mid 1800's.
Had my old one reinforced....
Plenty of room for all my needs.

Looks good.
I'm thinking that I need to make one with pockets inside to hold turkey calls.

It's not good for me to see these things. It makes me think I can do that kind of work when I should know I can't. Aaaarrgh....

Your preaching to the choir!!!
I'm right with you on bag work.
Some times it pays to cut a check.
Met the builder at a trade fair couple of years ago.
Ran the first bag through 3 years of hunting seasons..it passed muster so it's time for another.
Wear this bag on left side shooting bag on right.
