Horse pistol holsters

I'll try to post a photo. I was on a recent California trip and ended up in Sonoma, (next to Napa) and there is a Presidio and Mission with some artifacts. There is a shovel with a wood handle, a couple of grub hoe blades (mountain men used grub hoes to dig caches) and a pair of pistol holsters- the kind that are slung over a saddle horn. What is neat is these holsters have sewn on boxes or pockets that contain 5 or 6 metal tubes for reloading.
As far as I can tell, they are the oldest "speed loaders" I've ever seen.

The proper name of the place is Sonoma Barracks. There are 84 photos on the net but none of the holsters. I'll try to figure out how to post a photo. May take a day or two.

The only difference is what I saw had no flap so you could see the "cartridges" which were tin tubes, essentially speed loaders.
